Apple has announced that the new iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts the longest battery life ever in an iPhone, offering up to 33 hours of continuous video playback, according to official data released by the company.
The battery life of the iPhone 16 Pro Max exceeds that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max by 4 hours, which provided up to 29 hours of video playback. This represents a 14% improvement in battery performance.
In a related comparison, the smaller iPhone 16 Pro offers up to 27 hours of video playback, compared to 23 hours on the previous iPhone 15 Pro, marking a 17% increase.
Apple attributed this improvement to more efficient and larger-capacity batteries, along with a new internal design and advanced power management in the iOS 18 operating system. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch screen, the largest display ever on an iPhone.
Over the years, Apple has made significant advancements in iPhone battery life, addressing user complaints about the battery performance in older models.
Beyond the extended battery life, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max come equipped with a new "Camera Control" button, the latest A18 Pro chip for AI-powered features, and improvements in video and audio recording.
Apple has also enhanced wireless charging speeds with MagSafe technology, allowing for up to 25 watts of wireless charging when paired with a 30-watt compatible charger. This enables iPhone 16 models to charge up to 50% wirelessly in just 30 minutes.
